StarBach's: The Coffee Cantata

" ...as fun and frothy as a triple latte with extra foam." -CBC Radio

The caffeinated version of J.S. Bach's mini-opera comes to life in a 21st century coffee house.

You'll meet Schlendrian, his sister Lieschen and her secret crush - Taylor the Latte Boy.

Sung in English and including additional songs glorifying our favorite morning drink, this professional production features faculty from all three of Manitoba’s music schools, and is delightful, delicious,
and suitable for all ages.
StarBach's: The Coffee Cantata debuted at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, July 15, 2010 and ran for ten performances.  It's based on Bach's "Kaffee Kantate" B.W.V. 211 with a new libretto by Donna Fletcher.
Here's what the critics are saying:

"Lovers of musical theatre - particularly the Gilbert and Sullivan Style of comic operetta -
will get a kick out of this frothy little musical." -Winnipeg Free Press

"Comedy, music, intrigue: pure delight with a little extra foam...I'd be very surprised if you hear any better singing at the Fringe." -Uptown Magazine

"Funny, smart, professional...and highly caffeinated.  You'll want a refill."  -Ron Robinson,  Jenny Revue
